Etruscan Gold Diadem

A funerary wreath of laurel leaves surrounds a central solar ‘omphalos’. Three smaller solar ‘omphaloi’ at each end form a band before the semi-circular terminal plaques, each decorated with a siren in relief. The sirens hold a dolphin in each hand, their fishtails ending in dog-protomes.
