Roman Bronze Raven

The bird is shown striding forward his neck extended in a near horizontal attitude. A powerful beak and large eye lend character to the small head. Long flame-like feathers cascade over the shoulders and the wings are drawn together over the tail. The whole body is incised with lines indicating the feathers, long lines to the wings and short crescent-like lines to the breast and legs.
