Bronze Villanovan Helmet
Consisting of a bronze hemispherical bowl with an attached crest-holder. Crest-holder is of two raised parallel sheets of bronze, which follow the contour of the helmet bowl and are decorated with bosses and cut-out darts or narrow triangles. The crest-holder is secured to the helmet by 12 flattened rivets: three at each end of the crest-holder and three along its length on each side. It is decorated using curving bands of bosses and vertical rows of bosses alternating with 28 cut out upward pointing darts on one side - on the other side they point downwards.
