From the second edition of the Description de l'Égypte ('Description of Egypt'), a group of engravings commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte during his expedition to Egypt (1798-1801) as part of the French Revolutionary Wars. From a group of eight engravings dedicated to the city of Thebes.
