Roman Cavalry Sword (Spatha)

The sword, with a long iron double-edged blade, of slightly curving cross-section, with rounded shoulders and tapering point, the hilt tang surmounted by a pommel in the form of a stylised provincial eagle, the details if the feathers incised. South to be from Gaul or Germany.
