Greek Bronze Battle Knife ('Falcata')

Single-edged and slightly curved, both cutting edge and the back are convex, weighting the blade heavily towards the tip. The hilt has a hand-guard (the reinforcement for which remains) and pommel which both project only on the cutting side. The hilt has a rivet hole for the attachment of grips, which were probably made of bone or ivory.
