Pig-shaped Terracotta Rattle

Retains the characteristics of a round pottery vessel, the pig’s nose being similar to the knob of a pot, with a tiny hole in the middle of the nose for the evacuation of air. Four stubs stand for legs and feet. Features indicated by simple lines drawn in clay: semicircles for eyebrows above two small holes for eyes. Cyrpus, Hellenistic Period.
