Roman Bronze Ladle ('Simpulum')
Ladle simulates wood with knots, and curves inwards, as well as tapers towards a tiny mountain sheep’s head at its extremity. Small, finely executed head, with elongated features, ears pricked up to listen. The almond-shaped eyes, mouth and two small horns are marked.
