Roman Silver Figurine of a Female Leopard

Cast with its original flat stand. Leopard sits on its hind, while lifting its left foreleg and wagging its tail, which makes a full loop, its extremity attached to the top of the leopard’s back. Short parallel strokes and spots, represented by tiny, incised circles, indicate skin. The leopard lets its tongue out, adopting a pose associated with a docile dog, rather than a while leopard.
