Bronze Helmet of Illyrian Type

Of domed form, the crown with a crest base formed by two raised parallel ridges extending from front to back and finely engraved ornamental line terminating into a stylised blossom above the forehead. A button pin for the attachment of a crest at centre front and remains of a loop at back. Rectangular face opening, the pointed cheek-pieces with pierced holes for the chin-strap. Off-set, flaring neck-guard. The edge bordered by an ornamental line surmounted by a finely embossed frieze of rings.
