Roman Bronze Horse Eyeguard

A brass horse eye protector of a Roman Parade suite of armour, of concave oval form, the perimeter perforated, the central openwork medallion with four quatrefoils surrounded by two-leafed motifs in a grid, bordered by interlink foliate design, mounted.
