Greek Bronze Helmet of Chalcidian Type

With offset skull, double brow gable fitted with decorative rosettes and a reinforced forehead edge. Above the brow a large cotter-pinned ring and a helical plume socket on either side (one completely preserved), curved cheek-pieces on hinges, reinforced ear cut-outs, tall neck-guard with an ancient repair or lengthening by means of a riveted strap.
