The brow is heavily decorated with repoussé representations, including a frieze of captured arms, crossed spears, greaves, Celtic shields, Pelta shields, and a helmet. On the back of the helmet there are three large wreaths and two caducei. The hinged cheek-pieces are adorned with large ears and seated sphinxes.
