Greek Bronze Helmet of Chalcidian Type
The skull section is strongly set off with a narrow, almost horizontal neck flange. Typical face cut-out with a small nasal and reinforcement band riveted on the inside. Extended curving cheek-pieces. Small crack and ancient repair on the left ear cut-out. Remnants of solder from a decorative border formerly set along the lower rim. Larger solder remnants on the skull where a plume holder used to be attached.
