Pair of Greek Terracotta Figures Depicting Zeus and Ganymede
Antithetically arranged, each depicting Zeus in the form of an eagle carrying the youthful Ganymede, the eagle grasping the wings, each youth depicted nude but for a chlamys draped over the shoulders, with one arm raised and the other at the side, foliate wreath in his hair, wearing bracelets and a beaded bandolier bag, preserving traces of color for their skin, pink on the chlamys and on the eagle.
