Bronze Celto-Ligurian Helmet of Montefortino Type
With a central peak and a band around the body. The Ligures inhabited what now corresponds to: Liguria, northern Tuscany, Piedmont, part of Emilia-Romagna, part of Lombardy, and parts of southeastern France. They were assimilated by the Gauls, producing a Celto-Ligurian culture and then by the Romans in the 2nd century BC.
