Ancient Objects: Water container, Vessel, Rostra Altar

1. Vessel containing hot water for the service of the Ministers of the Sacrifices, seen in Portici. 2. A pierced vase for sending incense and perfumes for the worship of the gods, formerly in the Gualtieri Museum, and later in Paris. 3. Rebuilt altar dedicated to Neptune, taken from a bas-relief, found in a site called Pentano, on the road to Tivoli. Plate XXXIX.
