The Laocoon

This bronze is based on one of the most famous marbles from classical antiquity, discovered on 14th January 1506 in Rome at Santa Maria Maggiore. It depicts the Trojan Priest, Laocoon, and his two sons, wrestling hopelessly against two huge snakes.
