Sculpture of Hadrian

Deaccessioned from the Mougins Museum, Christies NY. Marble over life-size statue of emperor Hadrian which stood on the Villa Montatlo-Negroni-Massimi in Rome until the 4th Earl of Darnley, John Bligh, acquired it during a Frand Tour in the late 18th century fro his home in Kent, England - Cobham Hall. 18th century restorations.
