Provenance

  • From Galerie Louise Leiris, Paris, Directed by Daniel Henri Kahnweiller who represented Picasso for many years. Kahnweiler, the erstwhile owner of the Gallery, did not publish the Vollard Suite and teh bulk of these were bought by the Art dealer Petiet after the early dealth of Vollard. It was suggested that Kahnweiler was succesful in buying thee direct from Petiet so there is a direct link back to Vollard himself
  • Niall Fairhead from Images gallery purchased this from Kahnweiler
  • Acquired at Caroline Wiseman Modern and Contemporary, London, 16th August 2008
