Roman Bronze Helmet of the Weisenau Type
With distinct hammer marks on the inside, fully tinned exterior. Widely flaring, contoured neck-guard with reinforcement bands riveted to the sides. Long, heavily embossed eyebrows above the massive, riveted brow piece and two pronounced, embossed, stabilising ribs above the neck-guard. Ear cutouts on the sides with riveted hinge straps for attaching the cheekpieces.
