Deaccessioned at Christie's New York, Arms and Armour from the Mougins Museum of Classical Art sales, the 30th January 2024. Early versions of the Corinthian helmet had a smooth featureless domed surface to deflect blows. Tiny perforations along the edges are where a textile or leather lining was attached.
