Roman Marble Panel from a Cinerarium
Of rectangular form, the tabula with a worn inscription, a wavy line along the architrave above, the corners supported by the heads of ram-horned satyrs in high relief, their curly hair and beards drilled, a scene below showing a rabbit nibbling at a cornucopia of drilled vines and fruits, 14½in (36.9cm) wide, chipped, mounted on a modern marble base.
